WHAT THE JARGON*%$#?

Yeah! There is a lot of jargon being thrown around – PSD, AI, brand identity, pantone – BLAAAAGH! Let’s break it down!

PSD  fancy acronym for Photoshop Document a file format used by a graphic designer

 AI  fancy acronym for Illustrator Document – a file format used by a graphic designer

 PNG  an image file format with high resolution and a transparent background

 brand font  the style/design of writing that is used for your branding – a brand should stick to a maximum of three fonts

 brand identity guideline  a visual guide that includes all your brand items, and rules of your brand – supplied by a graphic designer

 brand pantone colours  The code which tells designers what your brand colours are – so that they are always shown correctly

 Word doc  come on now…

 JPG   an image file format with high resolution suitable for web | online use
